| 02/22/08 - MPX Energia S.A. announces that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Baoding Tianwei Yingli New Energy Resources Co., Ltd. aiming to develop a prospective partnership in solar-based power generation projects. The partnership considers the evaluation of opportunities to implement photovoltaic power plants in Brazil and Latin America, as well as photovoltaic modules manufacturing units in Brazil to supply local and Latin American markets. Yingli is one of the largest manufacturers of photovoltaic modules in the world, a leader in this technology and one of the few large-scale photovoltaic companies with a vertically integrated business model.
